Alisa Weilerstein, who performs Elliott Carter's Cello Concerto on her new CD, will play the other big piece on the disk, the Elgar Concerto, next week with the Philadelphia Orchestra. I adore string music! Alisa is my favourite cellist that would be great to hear her playing with my favorite violist Maxim Rysanov something like Beethoven...
