As I remember it, I nearly asked you to leave after your reaction to Thanksgiving, but all ended happily when I played the last movement of the Fourth Symphony for you.

Cal has a point about my older sisters. After they grew up a bit and lost interest, I heard the Beatles only on AM radio, and I missed a lot of what they did in the late Sixties. I didn't hear "A Day in the Life" until I got to college.Joe Barronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16638252347181688694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4449697140204377101.post-69524060372162028702014-02-11T13:48:59.647-05:002014-02-11T13:48:59.647-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Joe Barronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16638252347181688694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4449697140204377101.post-11339593594885126022014-02-11T13:16:01.362-05:002014-02-11T13:16:01.362-05:00I recall bringing the Beatles' White Album to ...I recall bringing the Beatles' White Album to your house in 1975 to play, and you turned me onto Charles Ives. I had only the occasional babysitter to lead me and escaped it for quite some time unfortunately. For me the great Beatles TV event was them playing "Hey Jude" on the Smothers Brothers show. Before that, I didn't even know Paul could play the piano. Calnoreply@blogger.com
